Noriki Nishida is a Research Scientist at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP), Japan.
Previously, he received his Ph.D. degree in Information Science and Technology from The University of Tokyo in 2020.
His research focuses on natural language processing and knowledge acquisition, including information extraction, knowledge organization, retrieval, and question answering, as well as their applications in specialized domains.
Recently, his work has also extended to multimodal communication.
He has also worked on discourse analysis.

- December 2024: Our paper titled "Zero-Shot Entailment Learning for Ontology-Based Biomedical Annotation Without Explicit Mentions" (Munne et al.) has been accepted by COLING 2025.
- July 2024: Our paper titled "Mention-Agnostic Information Extraction for Ontological Annotation of Biomedical Articles" (El Khettari and Nishida et al.) has been accepted by BioNLP 2024 co-located with ACL 2024.
- April 2024: Our paper titled "Weakly Supervised Named Entity Recognition Using Thesaurus with Hierarchical Structure" (Shibahara et al.) has been accepted by Journal of Natura Language Processing.
- Febrary 2024: Our paper titled "Recent Trends in Personalized Dialogue Generation: A Review of Datasets, Methogolodies, and Evaluations" (Chen et al.) has been accepted by LREC-COLING 2024!
