Noriki Nishida is a researcher at RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP), Japan. Previously, he received his Ph.D. degree in 2020 from The University of Tokyo. He is working on natural language processing, especially discourse analysis, knowledge acquisition, and their medical and healthcare applications. He is interested in automatically analyzing specialized documents such as scientific papers, extracting useful information from them, and organizing it as a knowledge base, to improve knowledge retrieval and discovery systems.

• July 2024: Our paper on weakly-supervised Named Entity Recognition (with Takayoshi Shibahara, Ikuya Yamada, Hiroki Teranishi, Kouji Kozaki, and Yuji Matsumoto) has been accepted by Journal of Natura Language Processing.
• July 2024: Our paper on personalized dialogue generation (with Yi-Pei Chen, Hideki Nakayama, and Yuji Matsumoto) has been accepted by LREC-COLING 2024!
• June 2023: I will give a talk on "Standard Supervision vs. In-Context Learning in NLP" at GPT4 Journal Club Series (RIKEN AIP mini workshop).
  
• June 2022: Our paper (Takeuchi@UTokyo, Nishida, Nakayama@Utokyo) titled "Neural Networks in a Product of Hyperbolic Spaces" has been accepted by NAACL-SRW 2022.
• May 2022: I will give an invited talk at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the Biometric Society of Japan.
• March 2022: Our paper (Kamezawa@UTokyo, Nishida, Shimizu@Yahoo, Miyazaki@Yahoo, and Nakayama@UTokyo) on automatic release note generation from commit messages and a new dataset (RNSum) has been accepted by ACL 2022. [paper]
• October 2021: Our paper (Nishida and Matsumoto) on unsupervised domain adaptation of discourse dependency parsing and COVID-19 Discourse Dependency Treebank (COVID19-DTB) has been accepted by TACL and will be presented at ACL 2022. [paper]
